I have had nothing but problems with their product.  It has leaked from day one. Fits like crap, and shifts even worse. Everytime I call it's the same thing...    They just want to get me off the phone. Even IF they make it, The Only good thing is the cheap price!  Eh, I'll save my money for a real transmission,Not some toy.    Get a 4 Spd OD out of a truck for 100 bucks and wait.  That's what I should have done...

What gearbox and what car did it go in? can you give us some specifics? Where didn't it fit right, and what are the shifting problems?

TKO-500,73' cuda 340.  It's a square peg in a round hole. That's exactly what it's like.  It's very finicky going for third under hard acceleration. That's a common complaint that the RS is supposed to address. By now... after taking it in/out over 10 times. It's an operation let me tell you...  The top is square and barely makes it past the crossmember. You have to tilt the engine down, get it in as far as you can, jack it up to get the z bar in to depress the clutch.   Then go the last 1/2".  The RS is rounder on top and the sides.  Probably a good trans. if it comes out for us. I'm just frustrated. And need something NOW. I'm tired of reading about it in mags and seeing it on t.v. All the "new" 5 speeds are like this. We are all waiting...      The OD has made all the difference with 3:91's It really cruises....+25mph top end!! And moves off the lights.  I'm hooked on it,  This is just my experience...  The 5 speed is the shizzzle !

Ya, can't stand all this vaporware.  Guess you gotta be patient, but I ain't being no guinea pig for Keister....Keisler.

Spending the big coin on the up and coming Passon probably will be worth it but again...long wait ahead.

Ah OK .. I thought you were talking about the RS when you said "nothing but problems with their product". The TKO isn't a Keisler product, it's a Tremec - Keisler just makes a kit for them.

Of course the TKO sucks, that's the point of Keisler bring out their own - the RS.

If you read back in this thread it was mentioned that an E-Body specific RS is in the works and slated for a May/June release. How soon it comes, I dunno - but I don't see why it won't eventuate.

The rs is unavailable,How would I get one!?    This has turned me off to any product from Keisler or Tremec.  All I get is the run around...    Eh I'll go to the viper unit soon and just forget about it.  This is ridiculous.

They have an ad in this month's Mopar Muscle saying to order now, but it does not actually say it they are available.  Prices start at $2,500, and supposedly no cutting at all.  Who will be the first?

My friend here in St. Louis, was one of the first ones to get the Tremek 5-speed conversion. It had to go back 3 times to Keisler and he had to pay the shipping.  It wouldn't fit the floor and they finally said that some of the e-bodies must have had a different floor stamping. My friend says that the Tremek now has a removable cover over that area of the trans to make it smaller.  They used him and the car as a test car without him knowing it.    He will never deal with them again.

I would wait a few years and let others be the testers before I get one. I do like the price and info about the better shifting mechanism.

I sendt a request to Keisler, got this reply: "Unfortunately we haven't engineered the tailhousing yet. Looks like it will be late fall."

I never like it when people take orders for something that is not available, and no definitive timeline on when it will be.  Does an order require a down payment to them?  I wonder if they are going to hold off on design/production until they get more orders.

i'm fairly certain you they arn't taking orders for the Mopar version. As said, they havn't even finalised it yet.

They're only taking orders for the GM compatible trans, which are shipping.

The add is in this month's issue, also.  It certainly gives me the impression that they are all set and ready to go, so if they are not even developed, yet, then to me they should not be advertising in a manufacturer specific magazine.  As a sales rep myself, it just doesn't make much sense to advertise an item you do not even have, or at least put in a statement that it is in development.

Ah OK. Fair enough.

Definitely agree. If it isn't ready, it should be stated so.
