AVOID this Challenger RT / SE. (pics)
« on: December 25, 2010 - 11:05:34 AM »
This is my old Challenger and this guy is FULL of lies.  I did all the work and the car did NOT get a full restoration nor does the car have the original motor & Trans.  Neil (Chryco Psycho) and I put a cam in it (2005ish) and the transmission has not been touched.  It NOT A NUMBERS matching car like he's saying and the car is FULL OF RUST!  Wish there was a way to save people from this car!

The motor is a dog.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Can you report it to Ebay?  The car is being misrepresented.  It is a 'not as described item' .

Yeah I learned my lesson about buying a car on ebay. Although most of what the guy told me was true the biggest dissappointment was that I was told it was "rust free". I dont know you tell me...

He must of meant that the rust was free of charge, when he said 'rust free'. I had a seller take clever pics and then do some photo shop to the pics.  The car looked great.  I am glad I drove 100 miles each way and looked at it.

Cody,

Looks as though he has modified his description a couple of times to try and word around the rust, lack of a full restoration and lack of numbers matching.

I NEVER buy a car that I ASSUME REALLY IS rust free.If you cannot cut away all tht fresh paint and actually SEE whats underneath, then the best advice I can give anyone that is a potential buyer is Don't EVER buy a complete car by clicking the "Buy it now" button...Buy one that is a total POS at least you can see that rust.... ..Just like when I am selling 440's in the local trading paper here, I ALWAYS have one dumbass that can't control himself and just has to ask the stupidest question...

"Well, does the engine run?" You are buying a 40 Plus year old engine that I told you was NOT locked up, didn't NOT freeze to the best of MY knowledge, has all the parts including the HP manifolds, and the only bargaining chip you can come up with is "Does it run?" WTF?? I guess cause i buy engines and cars that nobody else wants, I buy as just that, CORES...I do not care if it ran 25 years ago when your pop had it in that Chrysler...
I do not care how much rust is in the quarters, I buy cars knowing full and well that at the very least, I will need to replace the quarters as a given...You can bend over in public, drawers down, and 15 people will walk right past you...It's that 16th person you gotta worry bout that's gonna Screw you to the wall simply because he/she can....I'm not saying what this guy is doing is legit, right, wrong, indifferent...All I'm saying is there's a phrase that still rings true today as it did yesterday....Buyer Beware....

The bad news is that I paid a third party to check the car out. It did look awesome and he did tell me the paint and body work was over 12 years old so I wasnt expecting it to be perfect. Oh well it will be perfect when I get done with it.
