Need low cost dependable transportation
« on: December 25, 2010 - 02:32:30 PM »
Wife totaled my 93 olds cutlass.  Everyone is fine but my car is done.  So, I need low cost dependable transportation and would love to have something classic.

Thank you

The closest thing would be an Abody.

Well I don't know if this fitts your need but I just bought a 72 Duster with 65K miles. Slant six auto. Rear body is bad, but floor pans are good and runns great.
I can't decide what to do with it but if you are interested I can post some pictures.

Low cost, dependable, and classic do not belong in the same sentance.

That was my first thought. Around here that would equal rusted hoopty...........  :grinyes:

The Duster would be perfect but I am hoping to find something with little to no visible rust.  A completely rusted quarter would not work.  Thank you though.

The  93 olds was a car I received from a little old lady, my Grandmother, who kept it garaged and well maintained, NO it was not rusty only a few pea size bubbles.

Those cars are out there but few and far between, in my area anyway. Hope you find something...

No problem, I just bought it to help a friend out. I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet.
As for rust this is definatly not what you are looking for.
The wierd thing is the back half is BAD but floor pans are good and frame is good everywhere but the last foot or so.
