Does anyone know the proceedure for removing the stainless moldings from a convertible windshield header without damaging them? I have removed the screws from the right side of the header molding, but it really seems stuck tight. I don't want to bend it trying to get it off.

Also, I haven't yet removed the smaller standard molding that covers the gap around the windshield. Is it held on with clips as with the hardtop model?

Yes the windshield molding is held on just like the hardtops and must come off first.
There may be some sticky stuff from the windshield holding the frame surround in place so it's best to go slow the sides come off first carefully they bend easily.

Thanks. I've been trying, but so far I can't find any clips with my removal tool (it slides under the molding). The molding on this car is very snug.

By the way, great looking 70 Challenger. And, do you know anyone with some convertible parts, maybe some sheetmetal too?
