I also remember your story.....

Off topic, but it's December 2010....  right?  Why is there a magazine issued for April 2011 already!  Why stop at releasing them 5 months early?  Just issue them a whole year early.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I bought my Hemiblock and heads from him, I got a very good impression of him when I talked with him. Is there anything I should worry about? :clueless:

Paul Christophersen is an upstanding guy. I can vouch for him. He worked on my cuda. He did a fantastic job and helped me out at a time when I really needed it. He 's very kind and generous and a true Mopar specialist! I am very impressed with him and know that my cuda wouldn't even be close to done if it weren't for him.

I researched Paul before I handed my car over to him. I heard about the "stolen challenger" story, but from what I found out, Paul was caught in the middle trying to protect the interests of his customer who purchased the car. It may have been stolen, but that was over 25 years ago. Come on...Paul didn't steal any car. None of the current owners of the car knew it had been stolen. Paul never even owned the car. He was helping a friend/customer find a car he was looking for. Paul got a bogus wrap for being in the middle and for trying to keep his friend from losing out on the thousands of dollars he invested in that car. That's my understanding. Whether I'm right or wrong, all I know is that Paul is a top-notch guy and does fabulous work all around. I'm truly sorry, bud, that your challenger was stolen all those years ago, but this story has really dragged Paul's name through the mud, so please don't do it again with this forum post. He really is a good guy.

ok..if  he did not steal it .... i thought the same way ! i gave him  plenty of time to work things out! he promised the moon . but in  the end , this wonderful man tried to make me pay for the SAFE RETURN of a car which he knew  was listed as stolen on ncic database!!! the title was red flagged in michigan when his buddy bought it !he also stated he would hate to see the nice grill and bezels and a lot of nice hard to find parts come up missing [ and they did ] if i got the police involved !   he even tried to bring galen govier in on the deal!!! what a pal! you keep on blowing the horn ... i know the facts..  oh yes and if i go along with his deal he will use his influance with a mopar magaziene publisher to boost my cars value. all this means nothing and since i worked my a.. of to recover the car and did.. we should call him a hero! and paul knew the car was stolen , he had talks with lawers in philly about that !!! get the real facts ..  paul dragged his own  name in the mudd , not me. you  just don't do all of those things and then say '' i was a -victom-". he knew full well what he was doing all along!  IT IS WHAT IT IS. if you guys dont want me to post a truthful post on this site then let the proper person say so and  im done . i thought real mopar people would want the facts .           Buddy Whittington

Right or wrong, I understand that you feel you've got an axe to grind...question is "when is it enough?"  I read the link you provided...interesting reading, certainly wouldn't ever suspect the media of reporting only the most inflammatory side of a story.

You've got the car...you won!  Move on.  :2cents:

no axe here . you  would think people would like to know such things are going on .. the media did not report a large part of this story! from both sides !

But for your ONE story of how he (might have) done bad, several members have already chimed in with support for him.

I would hope that the lesson learned here is that no one holds up under the microscope.  Anything a person does, taken out of context, can paint them in a bad light.  You say he lied and evaded, others say he protected a friend and an investment.

Personally, I thought a car had to be cleared to be auctioned...where is the auctioneers liability and why aren't you smearing him?

My bad, I skipped eBay when I read auction...so yes, there was an auction, but not in the classic sense.

I think I've got it now...correct me if I'm wrong...Paul bought the car for $45,000.  You called him in 2005 and tell him the car was stolen in 1982.  He says "Bring $45,000 and a trailer and it's yours"...what a CRIMINAL!

How could he ever expect to come out even after he bought the car in good faith!?!?  Surely he should have donated his $45,000 straight to you.  BTW, was he ever charged?  The story gets pretty vague after the seizure of the vehicle.

Buddy, you've got a great story, kinda like a pot-bellied 52 year-old janitor who was once the QB for the State Champs.  Good luck.
