cuda improvements

well i finally ordered the xv level 1 suspension kit...2250$ plus they have a promo going so i get the chassis stiffening bars for free...theyre like 80 retail! so basically i get the suspension for 2080 $...would be hard pressed to piece other stuff together for that price. plus my car has no sway bar mounts and they have a solution for that...

next will be different gearing then exhaust and then wheels tires and then a cam..... and then and then and then....does it ever end?

Good choice!  I got the XV Level 1 kit about a year and a half ago and love how my car rides.  Do they offer the radiator support instead of their subframe connectors as a part of that deal?  From what I have heard the radiator support was one of the best chassis stiffening pieces for torsional rigidity and making your own subframe connectors should be cheap and straight forward.  I like the idea of their subframe connectors matching the contours of the floor but have heard they are a pain to install and do not help as much as 1x2" boxed tubing would.  Also check out the front sway bar mounts that Hotchkis sells.  XV just uses flat metal bent in an L shape with two holes drilled in it that bolt to the lower control arm while Hotchkis uses a boxed mount that welds on.  The Hotchkis mounts might be over kill but that's the route I went.

I just wanted to bring these things to your attention.  Are you going to document your build?

SB,  Did you document yours?

Flyguy,   Can't wait to hear what you think about the install.

I have a number of random pictures that I will try to get online.  Since the Level 1 kit is just basically replacing stock leafs/torsions, shocks and sway bars it isn't too exciting.  I have one thread here in the newbie's forum and one on lateral-g.net but I didn't document every step.  I will try to get more photos up.

Overall I love the XV kit but some parts have a cheap finish/fit.  Maybe I'm too critical.
