Header Gaskets
« on: December 29, 2010 - 01:11:48 PM »
Is it worth it to port match the header gasket to the header?  I have 2" tti's and Percy's gaskets but the opening is 1.5" x 1.8".  I am not sure, but the header openings are probably 1.7ish" x 2.0".  Will it make much difference?

Anything hangin into he port is worth por matching...Even the gaskets...No sense in spending the HUGE money for those TTI headers and letting a $5.00 gasket scew up the flow...

Yep, I sure would. Will it kill your coating though/cause rust?

Thanks.  I think I will use my TTI gaskets for a while...they are the correct size.  Anyone ever put any copper sealant or anything on them?

I am only talking about the gasket.  The header flange will not be touched.
