challenger headliner bows
« on: November 22, 2004 - 09:14:26 PM »
anyone know if/what the differences are from 70 chally's to different years? guy i bought the headlliner from says all 70's were 5 bow, so that's what i bought. also bought 5 bows from him, but they are universal ones.

bought a used 73 headliner for the bows off ebay couple days ago for $30.
today bought 3 bows from a 71, 2 regular, and 1 of the taller ones for $5. will cost me more to gete shipped than the bows cost.

only thing i have noticed is in some of the pics the ends are bent, and others are not.

anyone know for sure?

The ones that are turned at a 90 degree angle on the end went straight into the holes for support. The ones that are straight at the end used clips that they rested in.What years on what,I'm foggy on, too many :wasted:ago!I believe the clip type were early type and the latter later years.

Both of my 73's have the 90* bends on all bows. Somewhere between 72 & 73 they  switched from 5 bows to 4...Unsure why.

i bought a set off ebay for $12. these guys are pretty good. shipped fast. also bought headlight adjusters from them. the headlight adjusters are different than factory, but still work correctly.
