Also, in order to drop a challenger 2.5", do you have to use drop spindles?
No, you can just turn down the t-bars, but you will also need to step up the t-bar size to avoid bottoming out the resulting short travel.
I am looking at going with the magnum force 2" drop spindle. I have a SSBC disc brake conversion on their now and SSBC says it won't bolt to the spindles and can't just buy a different bracket. So I am looking at going with the wilwood front 11" 4 piston brakes on front and rear. Also going to go with double adjustable UCA because I just want to make sure there is enough adjustment for the caster being that I have heard so much about it being to be more than typically what you can get. I also going to go with PST 1.03 torrison bars and bilstein shocks along with poly graphite kit. Caps told me that I would better off going with a coil over conversion to lower because it would be more adjustable. The cost he was saying was about 500 with the shocks and both control arms. But I haven't heard to many good things about CAPs. I am open for suggestions. I have been trying to figure out the best options. There is so many and brake prices are all over the board.
Hmm, that doesn't add up. If the SSBC kit was designed to fit the stock spindles, it should fit drop spindles as they are a copy of the stock design, just dropped 2". Bearing size, location, disc location, and bracket mounting points are all the same, just moved up. I think they may have that wrong.
Before jumping too deep in to what you need to buy, what are you planning on doing with the car? racing, if so what kind? what is the budget? how important are looks? how much "ahhh" factor do you need? Cap isn't right in that coil overs are the best way to lower the car, but they are right that coil overs are very adjustable. Do you need more adjustability than what you have with the stock configuration?
