Rallye Cluster Woodgrain Insert?
« on: November 23, 2004 - 02:32:46 AM »

Where can I buy the Rallye Cluster Woodgrain insert?  :dontknow: mine is "ok" But I want it to be NOS looking as thats pretty much the mission control of my car all I need to see is there and I don't want to look down at a half moldy looking rallye cluster.

Surely there's a place that sells repos, no?  :???:

NZ,
If you are talking about replacing the plastic bezel, I'm afraid I don't know of any repro's being made. You can get the woodgrain sticker, if that's all you need.

Hey MEK

Yeah the plastic is OK, just the grain insert doesn't match up with the rest of the resto. Any links or names of places?

I'll try YO after I post this and a few others.

Cheers bud,
Carl

Mate,

if you were living CLOSER to Finland I could make one for you from real  0.75mm walnut tree vaneer  :grinyes:
I did all my inserts from real vaneer for rallye cluster, door panels and also the pistol grip handle is hand made from walnut tree

Rallye cluster was reeeeeeeeeeal pain in the butt, did two rehearsal and third one was successfull, most difficult part was to bend the vaneer (well, soaked the vaneer in hot water for 1/2 hour and then bend it, let it dry and then final shaping the edges..woah), then few layers of lacquer and if I went  :guitar:

Hell mate, you're actually living Just about opposite site of the globe  :grinyes:, drilling a highway through would get me somewhere there. how can you stand that living upside down  :grinno: :grinno:
Dementia already from the year...mmmm ???

The Paddock has them: www.paddockparts.com
And I think Legendary has them also.
Weren't there 2 versions of woodgrain offered?
Might have to watch for a possible missmatch in the grain/color pattern.
