Challenger body line question
« on: January 02, 2011 - 06:28:34 PM »
I have NOS fenders and and an original shaker hood.  The body line between the hood and the fender, where it dips down, does not seem to be straight across.  Looking down on it it kind of looks like a "W".  It seems to be the same on both sides.  Does anyone else's look like this?

My Cuda has all of it's original sheetmetal.  I can compare it to your pic.

Here is a shot of it, but not from my car.  The line between the fender and hood does not seem to be straight on my car.

I had a brain fart.  I meant to write Challenger.  Mine do line up.  How well do things line up at the back, windsheild side?

What panels have been replaced on the car?
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Everything lines up very well everywhere else, the the lines in front line up, it's just if you squat down and site along the lines, from the side of the fender, it is not a straight line.  I can make it straight of course, just wanted to check with others first.  I will try to get a picture to show it better.

The pics would be good.  I wonder how many real 6 pack 4 speed cars are left like ours?
