Does anyone happen to have any connections that can find out which vendors are coming to this show in April 2011?

I need a few specific things and I was hoping to contact several of them and have them bring what I need so I can compare quality and prices at the show.

I always bring a wad of cash only to hear "well I have what you need in another year...If you call me next time, I can bring it to the show for you and save you the shipping".

What is most important to me this show is checking out door gaskets. The set I have on the car are a couple years old but they are solid rubber and don't compress when you shut the door. As a result, I have to slam them hard or loosen the latches so the doors don't close all the way which looks terrible. I was hoping to check out several manufacturers and if I find a set that are compressible, I'll pick them up.

So looking at the list, probably Laysons, Metro, and Rocket sell that stuff. Any other names on the list you can think of? I plan to contact them and ask them to bring out what they have for my car so I have different ones to choose from.

I need some sheet metal from my Challenger as well. I have bought from Stephens before and had good results.

This is what we do on Thursday at the Spring Fling Speed Festival with about 50 mopars. Half older, half newer...

That's my 68 Barracuda with me driving. At lunchtime we have FREE parade laps that spectator can bring thier car out on the track (under 60mph or so). Last year a guy drove 2 hours with his 68 Road Runner, checked out the action and drove his car on the track during lunch!! We get a decent number of spectators. And some Mopars come in from the Antelope Valley area too.

I think there are only two manufactures of those door gaskets. Metro Moulded and Soff Seal. I'd post a question asking about opinions on the best door gasket original manufactures. Maybe in the Interior and Guages section here?

The repro door gasket rubbers just don't fit that well. My brother's 70 Mach I has the same issue you have.

Of course more finished cars in the show field are always out there with for sale signs on them but I don't usually see good deals there. I see the better deals on the beaters on trailers in the swap area. Plus those guys are hoping to sell and would rather not trailer their stuff back home.

Autocuda...I think you're right. I recall having each brand for trunk gaskets. Put on the stiffer one and had to replace it since it would'nt let the trunk close right. I just can't recall which one I wound up using.

i remember a dude was letting a sweet charger go for 16gs new paint new engine the guy just needed the money im sure he would have let it go for 14... sweet looking car

Yeah last year I have gone early for both spring an fall no cudas/barracuda for sale that I recall, maybe there will be one thats a drivable 70 for my budget haha prob but ofc still looking forward to fling.

That's just the Manufactures Midway that only sell new parts.

We have 300 Mopar used part swap meeters. The biggest all Mopar swap meet behind Nationals and Carlisle. Biggest swap west of the Mississippi.

People come from all over the world for the swap. Car even sold out of Spring Fling to Australia, Europe, etc. Paul from Port Huron Michagan comes every show with a group of buddies. Last show they bought a station wagon, filled it with parts, and drove it back to MI loaded!

Bakersfield, but I grew up in the Mojave desert.  The swap meet is one of the main reasons I want to go!
