    Spring Fling show at Woodley Park in Van Nuys Ca.

    Does anyone happen to have any connections that can find out which vendors are coming to this show in April 2011?

    I need a few specific things and I was hoping to contact several of them and have them bring what I need so I can compare quality and prices at the show.

    I always bring a wad of cash only to hear "well I have what you need in another year...If you call me next time, I can bring it to the show for you and save you the shipping".

    if you go to http://www.cpwclub.com/events/content/ and scroll down you'll see Midway vendors and im sure if you email the Admin they'll give you info

    Do you just drive up or do you have to register ahead of time?
    Is there a typical place where cc'ers can meet and hang out?    :drunk:

    I think you pre register for the actual show on Sunday but I'm not sure if you pre register to put your car out on Saturday. I need to look into it. I go every year but his year I was hoping to enter my Super Bee for the first time.

    the link i provided above has the pre registration form ... its $30 bucks to park both Sat & Sun.

    i think its 40 if you dont preregister and you just pull up to the park.

    as for an area for CC... no i dont think many CC member are from CA or drive out to the show.

    As far as I know, the only before or after activity is connected with the car club that hosts the show. They have a big info booth where they sell t-shirts and stuff. They could probably give specifics.

    I have heard from some of the guys that a bunch of members do some kind of cruise night after the show. Don't know where they end up though. Probably some burger joint I'm guessing. I'm not sure if it is part of the club or just some informal thing.

    In the past this is what I have done while out west at the Spring Fling, a real motorheads week.
    Wed: fly in get to hotel, hit the Van nuys Cruise night on Vannuys Blvd.
     Thurs: morn early we head out to Willow Springs for the Road Racing fun, right now not sure what we did Thursday night but it was something.
    Friday: meet up at Woodley park for the cruise through the hills to the coast, then Fri night hit Bobs Big Boy in Burbank.
    Saturday: The spring Fling Show and Swap meet, Then I think we went to Picture car warehouse or maybe that was Friday night.
    Sunday: Show and Swap some last minute sites etc.
    Monday: Fly home early.

    Thats about what I have planned, but would love some evening beverages, food and fun.

    ALSO !!! that week is Cruising Van Nuys so thats good.

    if you guys are down to take a CC only cruise/meet we can do it. even if its only a few of us. Like i said if all you guys want to take a cruise there a bunch of good places that we can meet up and have some brews .... How does $5 pitchers & .99 cent mugs sound ??? let me know and ill be up for it.

    i think the perfect cruise would be meet up at woodley park and ride down to In&Out burger on Van Nuys and Ventura park at In&Out have a burger and walk next door to Gyu Kaku where they have $5 budlight pitchers and 99 cent mug (good sizes not those plastic tiny cups)

    Sounds good to me. I plan to really get into the car show spirit this year. I'm putting finishing touches on my Super Bee and hope to drive the hell out of it this show.
