Chi town, hey that's me!
I'm getting my first snow day since high school over 30 years ago tomorrow, they shut down work a little before 3 this afternoon and told us to stay home tomorrow.  It is really windy, 40+ mph gusts, when I got home, some areas of my driveway were bare, some had drifts 7 or 8" deep.
The heavy stuff is supposed to be happening this evening and overnight, I expect to find 3' drifts waiting for me tomorrow morning when I get up.  At least I don't have my 25 mile drive to work to worry about! :faint:

We're getting hammered pretty hard right now. Power just came back on after being off for a couple of hours. We're expecting 15 - 20 inches by the time it ends with 40 mph winds. Chi-town (120 miles north) is suppose to get more than us. I heard that Lake Shore Drive in Chicago is expecting 18 foot waves from lake Michigan to cross it tonight.  Pretty wild storm. Must be that global warming thing again.....lol.

It's finally stopped here in Kansas but the snow is still blowing with the strong winds and covering up my driveway; the one I shoveled three times today.   :-\

Having some thundersnow now, I wish it was rain instead of snow!
The drifts are going to be unreal tomorrow, already 3' drifts here, and heavy snow forecast through the night.
Then we get -10* tomorrow night!

Boston area by this afternoon, snowed yesterday and today, looking at 18" or so....

I just unburied my car a couple days ago from about 20" of snow on top of it due to the weight...thought my car looked shorter than normal.  Did I put those low rider springs in and not remember?  :clueless:

Only about 5-6" here , but it's pretty windy. The kids are enjoying a "snow day"
Hardly the "blizzard" they were predicting though?  ::)
