Ken, with that much snow and only about 1/3 of the way through your winter season along with the river level you described Fargo may be moved north when this all melts and gets together. Doesn't sound good friend.

I understand from our weather channel you guys out east are gettig hammered like 2 ft at a time.
We don't usually get that much at a time but rather it just snows every day. The inch here 3 ins there adds up.

You are right Jim. The city officials are already doing their emergency planning meetings trying to get ahead of it. In Winnipeg Canada they have a huge diversion for the river to go around the city. They haven't had any problems for years but now they are worried. A friend from there lives around 4 blocks for it and he said its water level is high. This time of the year it should be closer to empty but it's running so fast it hasn't frozen up either. I don't think there is a town in the river basin that's not worried. We are supposed to get another 3ins today. It just don't want to quit this winter.
