We had some flurries the other day. It's supposed to be 50 on turkey day. I'm loving it right now but I know what's coming also. It's just a matter of time before it starts!

Yep, I've got snow!  Good thing is it is 60 miles away.  I posted a sunrise picture of Mt. Rainier a few days ago so today I'm posting a sunset picture taken from the same spot, my deck where it was 53 degrees and sunny today. The other picture with a snow covered peak (look closely) is Mt. St. Helen's-- what is left of it after the May 1981 eruption/explosion.  The foreground is the port area and down town Olympia.  The body of water in both pictures is Budd Inlet, Puget Sound. I was watching the eruption from my deck as it happened.  It is about 50 miles away and was much more visible before it lost 1200' off the top.

I'm thinking way ahead with the lack of snow this year.
The fire danger increasing. Hope I'm wrong.

Bugs , Bugs, Bugs!!!  We still might get dumped on in Feb would not be the first time either. All that is takes is a arctic blast from the north riding a jet stream. If figure all the hot air and horsehunch coming out of peoples mouths nowadays is keeping the snow away!! I bet it issa gonna be hot in saudi arabia 150 at least on some days.
