Like a few others here plenty of snow fell, but it's melting like crazy with the temp swing and some rain mixed in.

Old pic but representative of what's on ground here now.  As soon as it dries out a bit I'll be back on the road again lol.

We have received hardly any rain or snow in the entire state this year.

Lowest rainfall ever recorded since records were started in my area and many other counties.   :violin:

-30C (-36C with wind chill) here this morning. The work van started! :o So it's off to work I go today. At least it's bright and sunny! Yesterday it was almost the same temperature. I took out my air line hose from the hose real to fill up a tire and it snapped in half like a twig! Had to buy new rubber hoses and replace them.(PVC hose) On the flip side I got a $20 tip yesterday from one customer. :grinyes: Takes about 8 minutes to get 800ml of 5w-30 oil into a snowblowern in that temps. It's like tar! Hey what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger! :2thumbs:  For those that don't know me or what I do for a living I have a mobile repair business for lawn equipment and snow blowers.

A funny thing happened to me today. Well, it's funny now at least...

I remotely started my 2013 Challenger. Then I when out with a broom to get all the loose snow off of it. Came back inside with said broom. Then I went back out to use my ice scraper on the windows. OK, all clean now, so I get in to drive. The car doesn't recognize my key FOB!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew a red LED flashing on the dash was a bad sign.   :grinyes: So soon the horn starts blowing thinking I'm trying to steal it. WTF?? I run back inside and get the other FOB thinking the other one must have frozen while I cleaned off the car.  No. Now I have 2 FOB's the car doesn't recognize, and I'm pretty sure I'm pi$$ing off the neighbors by this point.   :-[

Finally out of desperation, I pushed the start button on my FOB twice, and the engine and horn shut off.   :bananasmi  I got in and started it the usual way with my foot on the brake and pressing a button and all was back to normal. So I'm not sure what happened here, but some sensor on the car was frozen is my best guess.

...So I sit here now waiting to hear my horn go off again.

Jersey shore approx. 10"..

First time I used my new snow blower that is 2 yrs old. Didn't want to get it wet today, now it's officially used.    My wife was wondering after 4 plus hours where I disappeared to.

Was down the street helping out my friend's place.

Time for a oil change

In Hoosierland we got 5 inches Wednesday, supposed to be 32 degrees tomorrow so some of it will melt. Then they say a blizzard is on the way for early Sunday morning. Supposed to get 8 to 12 inches with subzero temps and blowing winds. Some channels say could be white out conditions. I'll be at the firehouse from 7:00a.m. Saturday to Sunday at 7:00a,m, Hope I can get home Sunday morning. The family and the Cuda are all snug and warm though.

I got some long angle iron on Wed to weld up a mount for a snow plow that I bought at a swap meet over the summer. It will go on my 4x4 4 wheeler. I have a long paved driveway and would die if I tried to shovel it. A friend gave me an 8 hp snow blower to use last year but it just blows it to the cleaned or unclean areas.

We only got 1-1/2 inches yesterday but it is only -1 degree out so I guess I try to weld this thing up AFTER we get the snowstorm scheduled for Sunday Eve. Cold weather makes me lazy.

I use a plow on my quad (that's what we call 4 wheelers in northern Ontario) to do the driveway as well. WAAYY better than using a snow blower.

I use a plow on my quad cab -  truck! Way better than a snow blower or quad as I have heat and tunes.  :bananasmi

Yeah, We call them quads here too. It was a nice sunny day today, Over 40something but nice enough to stay in the garage with the door up so I could mount my snow plow and winch.  Was out 12 hours from 9 till 9. I now have a working plow on my 4 wheeler all ready for the 6" to 15" they keep saying is coming tonight.

I'm ready!
