Saw these, not listed as a 1970 but stock and unsilenced.

That air cleaner isn't correct for a 70. No one reproduces the 70 air cleaner yet, so the only option is craigslist, ebay, swap meets, etc.

Or convert a dual snorkel one like Moparclown did. Not exact but looks close.

Anyone have a pic of the 70?  What's unique?

Imagine the black dual snorkels cleaner before the snorkels were attached in manufacturing. You probably could remove the snorkels from one of those but you would need to somehow leave a little material and roll it into the holes so it would have the smooth inlet the original style has.

My friend just picked up an A66 car and it had this air cleaner. Never really looked at one up close until then. It is unique and I told him he was lucky to have it still on the car. If I get over there this weekend, I will snap a photo and put it on here.

well there you go. I thought my friend's also had a 340 pie pan on top as well. Not sure if all 340s had them.

I looked high and low for years to find mine.  It was nicely restored with very good wrinkle finish, and there is no evidence of it having been particularly rusted or abused before it was redone.  After all the vastly overpriced and abysmally "restored" examples that I passed over, I was glad to pay 300 for it.

I removed the snorkels on mine then cleaned up the edges. Not correct, but serves the same purpose
