History about this T/A?

    History about this T/A?

    Hi,

    I know this might be impossible but worth trying though...

    trying to find out if someone has any history information about this Challenger T/A from the US years back in 1970-1976? VIN is J0B296485. All I know is that this was imported to Sweden in 1976 by Great Empire Trading LTD (I guess dealer form New Jersey?).

    Car went from Sweden to Denmark in 1993 and then I bought this car and imported it to Finland in 2009. Check my blog for details about the current restoration:

    Is there any authority in US where I could ask more information based on the VIN?

    yes, I was asking this from Barry when I registered my car into TA registry... unfortunately Barry did not have any history details about this one.

    Just for fun, I pulled the broadcast sheet copies I have for both cars.

    They are close to being twins, but they have different options.

    Even though the VINs are sequential, the cars were 657 apart on the assembly line.

    ...they came on another T/A I purchased about 25 years ago...just swapped wheels on both cars

    657 cars apart.... would they have been built hours/days/or a week apart

    His print time is 8th hour, 72nd minute (100 minute hours) & yours is 14th hour, 65th minute.

    Actual build days are not noted on the sheets, but based on other broadcast sheets I have on file, the clock rolled over to another day before your car was built.

    A little more....

    A previous owner found a broadcast sheet in 296485 for 294514. It was on the assembly line 22 cars after his even though the VIN numbers are thousands apart.

    Larry, I see that the broadcast sheet copy I have is from your back seat. If you have not done so yet, can you please look inside both of your bucket seat backs for more sheets?

    Every sheet found & reported helps with this puzzle.  :thumbsup:
