I guess Gearvendors decided to work with your guy about finally getting it to shift correctly because of all of the trash talk you were spreading about their AUTOSHIFT?

Trash talk?! I beg your pardon? Not cool. REAL TALK. Were you involved with the Autoshift unit? Were you up with what was happening? Did you have all the technical data on their electronics and custom shift sequencer boxes (of which I have tried 4)? No, so if you don't know anything about what happened and why I spent f%#ken thousands of my dollars ON TOP of the purchase price trying to make something GV built, work, I suggest you keep your petty comments to yourself. Shocked you would say that. If someone makes a shlt product and I own it, I'm not going to get on the brown nose wagon just because it's American made or because I own it, you're damn straight I'll let others know if they ask. I don't want ANYONE going through what I did. If trying to save others my hassle is trash talk, then send me to Jerry Springer......

So is it working with your own stuff? It sounded like they were selling you a working autoshift that never worked as advertised and you were done with it. After all of your comments I figured that you were looking for something else.

No, not my stuff, they have sent me 4 or 5+ new units and "fixes" over 3-4 years and have been corresponding with me. Only 4 people own the GVAS unit: KWS, Jay Leno, Joe Rogan and me. None of the others drive their cars much on the highway so I'm the only one who can offer any decent input on how it's working, if not, why. They did get KWS General Lee into the shop which they managed to get good info so that helped. I'm using their gear, no way on earth I could make the electronic box, nor would I pay to have it made, plus, it's their job and their work.

I would look for something else but it's been a long road and finally one that looks like it has an ending, a close one. Plus, it kept the #s trans (at the time that was good) and for a simple OD, it does work (now it does) and the only other (viable) OD option is the A518 which I'm not going to consider for this car nor did I consider it at the time. Yes, that is EXACTLY what happened. They sold the unit to Year One on my behalf but didn't know where it was going. It was far from working properly, well, "not tested enough" but it was too late.

We got it, installed it and it was an utter POS then we contacted them. They found out and started to help and claim if they had known it was going to NZ, they wouldn't have shipped it. If it were US based they would be able to fly out and fix it or try. Sounds reasonable but still, they shouldn't be selling an item that's untested to the consumer, regardless of location.

People get confused. This is NOT the stock GV unit which for a simple OD is mint, nothing wrong with it in OD terms. When I started the GV thread, they were close to releasing their new autoshift sequencer unit. Until I was complaining about it which made them step back and look at the faults. Since then, they haven't be happy enough with it and it's inconsistency so in a way, if anything, I helped keep a dodgy product off the market lol. They will not be releasing it as to set it up properly takes time and requires additional parts which I'm guessing is a lot of time and also not very profitable on their behalf.
