green bearing installation

i have pressed some new green bearings on a set of old axles . when pressing the bearing stopped but there was still some way to go but they wouldnt go any further .
i tryed to install them but i cant bet them to go past the threads . how far do they get pressed onto the axle ? when pressing bearings they stopped

if i remember correctly they go all the way down untill they touch the back,,are you sure its the right bearing ? pictures may help

i still see some shiney parts where the old bearing was . the bearing felt like it bottomed out on both sides where it is . but i will have pictures.
