    I called my local auto body paint store and asked if they could mix me up some organosol black. I gave them the paint code of (Ditzler code DDL9355) and they cannot find it. They sell PPG paint, but they cannot find the paint code. Does anyone know if there is a different paint code for PPG?

    I used ppg also, they mixed mine in the  DCC Low gloss series # 9355 same # different letters than your code? Rich.

    Hello tommyg29! I emailed them and they are out of town at the moment. I know they have spray cans, but I was wondering about coverage. I tried using a spray can once and the paint "striped." Has anyone ever painted a hood with the spray can organosol?

    I can't say it's exact, it looks like it to me, but I haven't seen the original for over 30 years!
    When they mixed it they said there was metallic in it, this I did not understand, but it sprayed on well , 2 coats (might not have even needed the second) it covered well.
    I think ppg's letters indicate there level of paint, my E7 was mixed in DBC....... one of there top of the line series I think? Rich.

    I think AARudy (might be AAR Rudy) in the restoration section did an extensive amount of research on organasol, might be worth a look

    My left over can of DDL9355 organosol lists these three ingredients on the label:

    DMA358 BLACK
    DMA349 FINE ALUMINUM
    DMA364 SUEDE

    I am not sure who's numbers they are, Autobody Products Inc who mixed it or PPG.
