My 295/50s fit OK on my car with 10 inch wheels on the bolt in spring relo kit and B-body rearend

the offset is 5 inch in and 5 inch out

Don't know why 8" rallyes wouldn't work

Hi 360,
silo1.jpg, thats a real sweet picture! I have a question concerning the bolt in relocate kit for
your rear springs. Do you, or did you have any interference problems between your rear shackles
and the valance panel? Looking at my cuda, it looks like the offset moves the rear spring shackle
out of that little pocket or relief in the rear valance toward the inside and its already shaded that
way stock. Just wondering if you did have a problem how you might have dealt with it. Thanks
much!!  Jeff

It does come very close to the valance but when you use the kit with the offset shackles and
A-body length springs they do not hit because the shackles are short

One word about rear shackles, make sure they hang down backwards at least alittle.

Don't let them hang fowards

Hi 360,
Thank you for the reply. Yes I see in my source book here that the a-body springs are two inches
shorter than the e-bod pieces. I guess I never considered going that route because I thought
the shorter front section would pull the axle too far forward. Since you mentioned it, I now notice
that the a-body springs are very similar to the ss springs in overall dimensions. Does that offset front
hanger bracket make-up some of that 2 inch difference? Sorry for the questions but I'd be estactic
to get this right the first time!!  :banghead:

The springs are shorter but the spring hangers move the springs back into the right place

Your right 2 inches longer
It's a no brainer and easier then making them yourself

Hi 360,
Your car looks great and you where able to fit some huge tires under it.  But I am lost.  I was under the impression that A body springs are the same lenght as E body springs in the rear segment and only 2 inches shorter in the front (I do not know where I got that from). What has me confused is, if the axle ends up being in the orginal location due to the front hanger making up the difference of the shorter front segment then doesn't the rear spring eye end at the orginal place?  I have a feeling this is something like the military, if it works just do it and do not question why.
Which Offset kit did you use? Springs? As I have been sitting here writing this and rereading your posting I wonder if the shorter shackle is the key?

You are correct on the size of A-bod springs but the front spring hangers on the relo kit are special
and are 2 inches longer to make up for the short front segment

I had 295-50s on my 70 cuda. 15X8" rim with 4.5" of backspacing
I had an old set of a body springs and super stock hangers.

Im running 295 50 15 on 15x10 with a  5.5 bs, the wells are stock but the spring relocated abit.  Theres alot more room if you were to run 17's or 18's just due to tire deflection.  o1

295 50s on a 10" rim with I think 4 7/8s backspace, stock suspension.  Stuck out too far.

Hi 360

I like it. Looks Good.

Ware did you get your offset spring hangers. What kind of clearance do you have on the inside finder well and outside finder well?
You are using A body springs?  What spring are you running Super Stock?  Relocating kit moved spring in how far?
You said shackels were shorter how long are the shackels?

What size tire are you running in the front.

Trying to deside on what to do with the rear.

Thanks
