Ok, thanks, I have to try... Anyway my trigger is metal and blank. What I've seen so far (at least the repros) are plastic and black, even the one in the opening post here.

And yes, Resto Ricks pulls down the whole shifter, I've read it in an other thread here. I think that's why there is a long hole where the allen screw is.

This is the one from quapman with the trigger. I will also go for it. Like it more like this, and even if others are driving the car.
How is the trigger handled while driving?

There is still one more Pistol Style not shown ... anyone care to show the third one? (has the metal lift trigger)
As I recall, This one was the most easy to use. I tried out both trigger styles at Carlisle, and was impressed with both.

Here's a pic of the Gunslinger Pistol Grip in my 1970 Challenger & and an inquiring grand daughter.
For the observant I have a '71 shifter in my car.

Sure, or is it the Gunslinger Pistol Grip shown above. The Gunslinger Pistol Grip seems like it is not that easy to grab as it looks to vertically. And I have to shift a lot with my manual valve body.

I agree, just my thoughts... That's why I go for a trigger too.

And the "Shift-r-arm" in my opinion doesn't look good.

I went the other way. The trigger concept just seemed awkward and unnecessary. The Resto-Rick version utilises the push-down concept of the original shifter, however the entire grip moves down not just a button.

It requires no effort and you don't actually have to push down on it. The wait of your hand is adequate. Much simpler.

Yeah, I also made my decision.

Brad, is the trigger triggered like firing the pistol? Grab the pistol with the hand and fire/trigger with the forefinger? Can you or someone provide me an installation pdf?

I know this thread is about Resto-Rick's Pistol-grip Auto shifter, but we discussed all others here as well.

I like the Quapman one, but the polish on it is quite a bit duller than the OEM shaft on the shifter. I.e. does not match.

Somebody knows if this trigger button is stock? I can't get it off and will destroy it.

What's it doing? Has it started to unscrew and then stopped? or simply won't unscrew at all?

Can't remember how mine came off.
