Schmacher makes motor mounts that have locking metal plates inserted in the rubber. Rubber allows for the vibrations and flex but the plates wont allow it past a certain point. They claim is is unbreakable. And they look stock. Something to consider if you didn't want the torque strap look.
I had those on my 440.The drivers side still broke.I ended up with a used Schumaker torque strap bought from a club member which looks pretty cool.That is still on the car and works well. Does not transmit much in the way of vibration either due to the way it mounts as there is anough flex to let the engine move a little.
Not to hijack the link but how did the schmaker unit break? The cutaway shows two interlocking slabs of metal surrounded by rubber.Did the metal shear off or bend apart? Are you running super high output?
