Thanks for the idea Tom but I can`t see from the picture what you did down at the starter?Did you find the right type of connector for the solenoid or just a spade type connector and shrink tube over it? What is that hiding under the battery an amp for the stereo or ignition setup? Cool hiding spot!

I think I used a crimp butt splice with the proper connector, but give me a few minutes to head down to the garage.  I had to swap the starter in after I had the car all together.

Tom

Ignition set up and a fused distribution block along with some headlight/foglight relays under there.

Wow it's cold down there in the garage.LOL

I used spade connectors and a sleeve of heat shrink tubing to cover the connection.
That connector should be available at NAPA or Carquest as a replacement part.

I haven't had any issues with corrosion on the wiring using this method, been together for 4+years and looks new under the hood for the most part.  Drive it in all weather(except snow) and is holding up well. FWIW.

in the past I have just flipped over the end of the factory cable , tweaked the connectors a little & it hooks up fine , you can also cut between the 2 wires & attach them seperatly
