Not to rain on your guy's generation bashing parade, but it's not just a generational thing.
My motorcycle's battery left me stuck at a gas station awhile back. I think I asked at least a dozen people or more before I even found someone that had a set of jumper cables. Finally a guy in one of those Honda suv's said he thought he had jumper cables. Points for him, he knew he had jumper cables in his roadside kit. But he had to look for the compartment it was in, and after opening up the jumper cables (still
in the packaging!), he asked me what side his battery was on
. Needless to say I hooked up the cables.
And to get to the generational point of the story, I would guess the guy was in his mid forties, probably a good 15 years older than me. Now, since the
original Atari came out when I was like 5, I'm guessing he didn't grow up playing video games 24/7.
