Prepare to be Judged - Book Finally Complete!
« on: January 29, 2011 - 01:28:26 AM »
 :woo:  :woohoo:  :cooldancing:  :jumping:

I'm so exited. After 3yrs worth of work, I've finally completed my book. I thought I'd let you know so you could celebrate with me. Now I may be able to focus a bit more on the Challenger.

Go have a look, I talk about it at my blog site (in my sig below) or directly http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/prepare-to-be-judged-how-to-get-your-car-ready-for-show/14685785?productTrackingContext=search_results/search_shelf/center/1. I have a spotlight page there where you can read a bit more about it.

Congratulations I hope it inspires some to excel with the presentation of their cars, please let me know what shows you will be at so I won't get my own hopes up too much.

Funny. Don't worry about me. My goal isn't to pick cars apart but to help others get better. Most of the shows I'll be at are in Oregon and I'd love to see your car.

Very cool book.  My car is nowhere show quality but with the World of Wheel coming up in April in Boston, it would be cool if a link could be put on their page for a resource for those who enter their cars to be judged or something.  Would make for good book royalties!  :grinyes:

Thanks. It's funny I remember saying things like that. You might be surprised at how well you can do. There are lots of techniques that don't really cost much (in dollars) that will set you apart. Don't discount yourself too much. It's not just about the big judged shows, it's everywhere you take your car and also for your own satisfaction.

Now that it's released, I'm working toward getting links on sites like that. If anyone has any good contacts, I'd appreciate the plug.

Yes I know what you are trying to achieve and it is good for all to have something like your book to improve their own car.   :2thumbs:
You are welcome to check out my Challenger, its parked 2 hrs drive due east of Melbourne Australia, ring ahead to make sure I'm home.

Very nice,  :roflsmiley:  that gave me a good laugh this morning. I'll be sure to do that when I'm down that way.

Thanks. I really have to agree about the membership here. I've seen a lot of forums and this site is right at the top. People act like adults and don't assume the position of being defensive. It's a top notch site.

Congrats on your achievement, I'll support your book, will you be selling here on the site?
All my cars are drivers because that's how I like my cars but I am interested in a read.

Thanks, I appreciate it. It's currently available from the link in the initial post but will be on Amazon and other sites like that soon. It'd be pretty cool to be part of something like a "recommended reading" section of the site here but I haven't floated that idea yet. Perhaps if others thought it would be a good idea, it might go somewhere. I'd definitely be in favor though.

Looks like a great book Ron.  I'm in the Oregon area.... what part of Oregon are you from?   Would be great to meet you in person sometime.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Hey, that would be fun, I'd love to. I'm in Damascus which isn't too far from Vancouver. Do you ever get down this way?
