I currently have my 70 RT SE big block plum crazy Challenger on my rotisserie. I should have it ready to paint in a couple of weeks. I'll post nicer pics of it later.
I need an SE sail panel emblem if anyone has an extra. I have one NOS emblem and would like to find another NOS or near perfect one. Let me know if you have something.

My plan with the 4speed RT/SE is to do a rotisserie, i just have to make my garage bigger
As you are doing a rotisserie do you have a complete car or are there allot of things missing? I hope u keep us posted with the progress?
About the sailpanel emblem, i also have one Nos and tryes to find a second one. I bought a remake but they dident look right comperd  to the Nos one.

I have a complete car. I would never ever buy an incomplete car to build. Takes too long to round up those hard to find parts and the cost would be outrageous. I always tell my customers to buy complete cars. Those partial project cars are never much of a bargain in the end.
I just sold a guy a 70 barracuda shell for $2500. He's thrilled to death but all I see is a future unfinished project or drag car.

Thats allways better(having a complete car). But i think a RT/SE is worth the try, i would never do that with a stock E-body. I have allmost completed the SE trim things(much because i allways buy real stock SE things if i stumble on them, and allways done that). My time plan with the RT/SE is like 5 years
I sold one of my rusty 70 Charger rolling shell that was uncomplete, sure it was a bigblock car but no SE or RT and cars like that is allways not worth it if you not gonna keep it forever...

I don't know if this has been done before on the forum but here goes.  I have noticed several 70 Se Challengers popping up lately and am thinking it would be good to have a thread devoted to the SE.  So  I will start and hope this is in the right place and everyone likes the future postings.    Mine was originally Burnt Orange and  the color is the only change I made.  It doesn't have the orig engine but it is a 440.  Just not sure what year.   I didn't get a fender tag or build sheet but I did get the orig Vin off the door when it was replaced. 1970 Challenger R/T S/E... Vin  JS29U0E1095XX.

Great thread going for the SE Challenger keep it going. I am a newbie as of March 3. I own a Gran Cpe Convertible.
As with the SE Challenger there is a thread for the Gran Cpe's.  We are not considered Muscle Cars
although our rides have every standard feature as the Muscle Car. Same HP.
Couple of interesting features of the SE.
The top of the roof above the rear window has a roof bow effect. Dodge designers created a small back light on this roof by using a special fiberglass cap. This cap fit over the standard window opening. Because the roof would be covered with vinyl, no special finishing of the edges was required. Info is from the hard back "Challenger & 'Cuda".   Dodge originally created the SE option for the Charger and added the option list to the Challenger thus the SE Challenger. There is a poll or counter on how many Gran Coupe's exist on the thread, find out how it was created and have your own poll.  Lot of good looking E-bodies

Awesome thread! Nice to see the RT/SE's and SE's being represented. Ours is still on the rotisserie ( its been a rough few years) but, but, but we may be making progress again on ours. Anyway or SE is JH29NOBxxxxx, power steering, power brakes, those funky rubber strips down the side (body molding package), A/C and a luggage rack! The correct engine is long gone, but the 727 is matching. The car is FC7 originally and will be again soon some day. Luckily the car was complete, so I have the headliner and overhead console.. Anyway, keep the SE's coming peeps!  :2thumbs:

Hi Dave sorry I missed you in NC. I hope my SE looks as good as yours in a few years. It started life FF4 green on green on green. 318 2 barrel, 904 TF. Build date 9/12/69 Hamtramck MI. It now has a 360, 518 OD. Matt

Mine was originally a 318. Now sports a 440. If there had been a TA/SE this is what it would have looked like. I left all the SE trim on the outside and inside

No. We were going to put a 340 in it but we found a rebuilt 440 that was too cheap to pass up
