Passenger Side Trunk floor drop
« on: January 29, 2011 - 11:28:01 PM »

ok, in this picture the floor drop has an oval hole near the front of it. Now since I removed the old one, I checked the pictures and that hole wasnt there before. What is that hole for, I need to figure out if I should fill it or if there is something that was missing that I need to track down. This is for a 1974 Challenger Rallye.

Fuel Evap system for fuel tank vapors. 4 tubes run off the gas tank and into a galvanized tube that runs up into the trunk.

:iagree: But I believe it was only for the 70-71's. Maybe '72 but definitely by '73 that 'into the trunk' system for vapors was changed to a vapor separator mounted by the front of the tank and an output line running to a charcoal cannister up front. For your '74 that hole would not be required.
