Spoiler looks great!!! If (or should I say when) my cheap MAS one breaks I'll definetly be buying the spoiler from Randy.

Front Spoiler looks good.

Although I wouldn't do it to a 71' Cuda. It gets too busy then.

It was time to finally get the rear bumper done.  The bolts were soo frozen solid I had to use a nut cracker to get them off.
The square end of the bolts were so rusted they just turned in place... blah blah blah...  hours of nonsense to get them off..

Anyway...  here is the before look of the '73 bumper.

I bought the '72 bracket and had read that only two of the bolts would fit to the bumper, but the bracket when on with all four bolts positioned properly.

Job done!

Okay...  here's one for you...

A friend of a friend has had an original AAR hood sitting around since he took it off his car in the 90's.  He finally decided to sell it and I went to pick it up this evening.  He lives about an hour away so I taped it to my hood with a rope looped thru it a couple times for safe keeping...

Came home in one piece!

It needs repair work which I'll document as I learn how to do it...

Man I love these hoods... more pictures later.

I had not thought about it...  I need to get this one repaired, on the car and be happy with it first before selling the other one.    It will be a while before I would be in a place to sell it.

Hey guys...  it's been a while but I was busy getting the car ready for MATS.  I finished putting in the seats I pulled out of a 97 Avenger SE.  For the sake of time I used a 2x4 as the riser on the inboard side.  The seats are really comfortable and manually adjust 5 million ways...
Put in a Fast EZ EFI system(with help) a few weeks before going on the trip.  The car loves it!

Took the car to MATS via Tucson (to pick up my brother).  Spent a day in Tucson then headed to Phoenix to pickup with a Mopar cruise to Vegas.  Great people and a great time. :)

The trip was 1500 miles without serous issues.  Avg mpg on the highway was 18 with a max of 20+ when following a semi.  ;)

The one problem I had was the shifter arm cotter pin dissapearing...  luckily it's the one thing I knew how to diagnose and fix.   :working:
It happened on a gas stop at a truck stop...  found a nice bit of steel wire as a replacement.

Here's a link to some pics...

:)

I'll post pics of the seats and EFI addons soon.

Enjoy!

Before going on the MATS 1500 mile trip I HAD to replace my seats.  There is no way I'd make it on the originals.

Being on a budget I decided to find something at the local junk yard...  these fit the bill:

'97 Dodge Avenger SE

1. comfortable
2. manually adjustable on many axis
3. inexpensive ($70 for the pair)
4. no rips/tares
5. look good

The first leg to Tucson was over 8 hours of driving.  I felt great sitting on these seats the entire way.  Goal achieved!   :)

Here are the seats...  there is a lumbar adjustment but I need to make a handle to help use it.

The seat covers are very dark black but the camera makes them look kind of grey/black.  They look better in person.
