I was told by the broker handling my import it will be ready Wednesday..but I got even better news . I have been told to come and get it tomorrow at 11am :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cooldancing:
I think going through a broker makes a big difference..
I don't know of anyone not using a broker even when I was bringing cars in I used them, the brokers have enough problems with the customs officials anyway. Great news, don't forget to check car over properly and make sure everything is there.

Well where to start >:( :(
I have picked up the car and the Trans is shot....oh just bloody great(made for a much longer pick up getting it on and off the trailer)
It wont go into gear forwards or reverse , have checked everything and found no external problems and she is full of fluid.
Also the chrome tail light trim rings have been taken...
along with the chrome wheel trims...
oh and also a few bits of my dash .... oh and the ash tray :villagers:
So really not to happy about the first few days of owning my new car...
The company I got the car through have taken full responsibility and say they are going to
pay for everything but I will wait and see how that pans out.
I am gutted to tell you the truth but time will tell.
also sorry for the late reply I have been away for a few days :violin:

Was the container still sealed when customs came to open it, the shipping company would have a report on what was and what wasn't on your car when it went in the container. Does anybody know where these parts went missing, the trans seems a bit sus, did the old owner say it was alright and who ever inspected it stateside. Does the car look like somebody has been doing burnouts in it, this is common unfortunately for cars that are unloaded at the docks.   :villagers:
I feel for you and hope that the shippers will come to the party.   :money:

Aww crap!  I had a similiar experiance, when I picked up my car driveshaft was hanging tranny fluid leaking badly, rear end was blown, front valance was smashed, steering column was wrecked. Rubber all over the rear quarter panels. 4 months to get it from CA to me here in Canada.
I feel you pain... been there!
Sorry to hear this! :stomp:

Yeah Brad yours was one of the problem cars I was thinking of, but it is common down here if a car is unloaded at the Vic docks anything can happen. The dock workers are untouchable, we need Elliot Ness down here to clean up our docks.   :villagers:

welcome chris, at least it arrived undamaged panel wise,a good percentage of shipped cars always end up damaged and had stuff stolen or removed off them, but at least its here.doesnt sound like a major job to get it up and running. i live north of bendigo prob 2 hrs from you.
