Final Challenge Progress
« on: February 02, 2011 - 05:52:52 PM »
This has been an on going project that has gotten out of control.

Some of the early pictures show a car that looks pretty good from 20 feet.  It's only supposed to be a driver that gets some attention to detail every winter.

Funny how things change.

I've never posted a link like this before, lets see if this works

Link worked great!!  :2thumbs:  That's quite a project you've got going.  Looking good though.  Reminds me a lot of my current restoration.  Keep us updated.   :2thumbs:   :wavingflag:

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

It is hard to believe that I have taken the car this extreme.
It all started with wanting to replace a trunk floor, remove a fuel cell, and install a factory gas tank.

Along the way, I found a lot of work from previous owners that would be considered a hack job by todays standards, due to the available replacement components /technologies available today.

I'm using Goodmark and rebadged Goodmark components from Cross Canada/Sherman. I'm also using Eastwood rust converter, rust encapsulator, and weld through copper primer.

I expect to have the car back together by early summer; yeah, right.

Once you get out of the dirt it gets better.  Replace a trunk floor and gas tank... :roflsmiley:    You are in the right place here! WeLcOmE !! R/T
