Energy suspension strut rod bushing question

Just bought new bushings from energy suspension and they are taller and a different shape than what I took out? Looks like I'll have to  throw them in the lathe and turn them down? Anyone else come across this? They didn't come with new washers either?

I've read several posts that they are thicker & need to be trimmed to keep caster correct, installed mine without trimming & my caster #s were in spec.
