1973 Challenger Rallye - Long time browser, first time poster
« on: February 04, 2011 - 04:20:20 PM »
Hello everyone!  Found your site while deployed and have gotten a lot of great information off the site.

I have a 1973 Challenger Rallye.  My father and I started restoring it around 1998 and finished it about 5 years later.  Motor and transmission where gone when we got it and ended up putting a 383 and 727 in it when we restored it.  Since then I've upgraded a few things here and there like adding the Keisler 5 speed.  Current plans include a stroked 512 and some driveability upgrades.  I know I'll have a bunch of questions here that I'll ask all of you for opinions.

Since this one was completed, my dad has done another '73 with a 440+6 and 5 speed in triple back (for sale), built a 1971 440+6 auto for another guy that he ended up buying back when the guy got a divorce.  He has a 1970 B5 blue 440 R/T that is the current project and another 1970 yellow 340 4speed car that is either looking for a new home or is next up to be restored.

Anyway, glad to be part of the group!

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

MontanaMopar...you got it right!  That was on the Rims.  Good to hear from a fellow Montanan!  Too bad I'm not there anymore, but I hope to move back later.  Oklahoma is home for right now.

I appreciate it Usraptr!  It's my pleasure to serve in the military.
