    used space saver tire

    hi, i am interested in getting a spacesaver tire for my 72 cuda. i came across avery nice one from a 1970-71 e body. it has been inflated ,but looks great . can this still be a functional spare  for emergencies . seller is asking 80 bucks for it,thanks

    It might work.  I would rather have my car towed on a flatbed over trusting a 40 yr old tire.

    I'll buy it for $80 bucks in a heartbeat if it isnt totally ragged out. Immaculate unused inflatables go for bigger $, but I agree....it would NOT be practical to actually use!

    $80 would be a steal if it's a correct one, even if the tire has been inflated.  I paid well over $200 just for a correct space saver wheel, and have been looking for a correct f78-14 tire for mine ever 2 months
    Spend a few bucks on AAA or adding towing to your insurance policy in case you get a flat.  Space saver tires are collector items strictly for show now!  :2cents:
