Noob From Montana
« on: February 05, 2011 - 07:39:17 PM »
Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I am 17 and i live in Montana. Recently I really got into Mopar muscle and will never turn back! I'm looking to restore a car ASAP, as I can't play anymore sports in high school do to injury. Saving up money right now to start my dream car. I've got about 2500$ saved up so far. Hoping to learn lots about E bodies and meet some new people who share my newly found passion. I ABSOLUTELY love this sight so far! Any leads on a project car you can message me

CHEERS EVERYONE!

You couldn't have made a better decision that to pursue an e-body  :) Good luck with your search.

I bought my Challenger just a couple of months before I turned 17, and I've had it ever since. Here's wishing the same for you.

I'll keep updated on the search and resto :working:

Welcome !!

Good choice in cars.

I spent some time dinosaur hunting up in Montana about three years ago.
I must have seen three or four ebodies on the sides of roads.
A few in some indians yards and a few in a jumble of cars. Mostly mopars.
Up between Havre and glacier.  There is a Black foot reservation.  Everyone warned
me not to stop in that reservation because they are quite a violent people.
Anyway, I saw a few of those barracudas on that indian reservation.
Good luck with that.

What part of Montana are you in?

Haha i know what you mean. Yeah you must have been up by Browning. Kind of a sketchy place. I live in Dillon, its in southwestern Montana about an hour south of Butte if you know where that is. Yeah lots of Mopar fanatics in my area! :2thumbs:

If your back in Montana anytime soon drop by Dillon and the area. Lots of great finds! I have a buddy who is in Sheridan/Ennis MT and his grandpa was a Mopar collector. He has a wear house of about 60 ORIGINAL, NUMBERS MATCHING, RARE cars. He has about every Chally and Charger ever made. Its absolutely incredible!

Wow, every challenger and charger ever made.  IMPRESSIVE.
I know where all those towns are.  My wife was talking about dinosaur hunting
this summer.  So, we just might be up your way early summer.

Welcome to the Party  :2thumbs: :droolingbounce: I have been through Dillon many times. I use to drive truck and hauled Canola pellots fron Lethbridge Alberta down to the Dairy farms west of Poccatello Idaho for a few years. I use to stop for fuel and eat at the truck stop just south of town almost every trip. I use to turn of at Dillon and take the Secondary road up to Boulder instead of going over the hill up at Butte. When I took the secondary road past all the old farms and small towns, I often thought that there had to be some awsome car finds in some of those old barns and buildings. :2thumbs: If you happen to know of anyone with A `70 Road-runner or GTX for sale please let me know if you could. Good luck with your search and you will find the people here have more information than you could imagine.......I sure did and still do.

Good luck finding your mopar...great choice.

Don't give up on sports yet.  I suffered a serious injury at your age and quit for a few years.  Get it fixed the best you can and then learn to play for fun.  It's hard to go from a competetive level to 'fun and games' but it is better than not playing.
