1971 Challenger build ?

Ok Guys I need your input on what I should do. First I will tell you the car I have and what I plan on doing. I have a 71 Challenger that is loaded, it has power windows,six way seat, A/C, AM/FM with cassette on the console,rear defog with rear speakers, every piece of chrome you could get on a Challenger in 71 including the wide hood and fender chrome. And on top of that a factory power sunroof. It is a B5 with B5 interior and black vinyl roof. And its a 383 with a auto. Now should I restore it to original or build the Challenger that I have always wanted or would order if I had a time machine. I want to build a 440 six pack car with rubber bumpers, rear window louvers, shaker hood, and paint it citron yellow with a black interior. I have all the parts to do it but not sure on what I should do. Thanks

It's your car, so do what you like but it would be a shame to have such a high optioned car turned into something other than the way it cam from the factory, IMO.  Do you have a fender tag/buildsheet?

If I were to do such a project as you had mentioned, perhaps finding anpther car that might be more suitable, such as a lower optioned car so you can have clean slate to work with?  Just my

Yes I have both fender tags and most of the build sheet some of the bottom is missing. I tried to find another car to work with and sell the one I have but there seems to be no one willing to buy. I would even consider a really clean 318 car and some cash as a trade.

I think a lot has to do with your intentions. Do you plan to keep this car for a long time, or will you sell it in a few years? Modified cars have a smaller market, where a highly optioned original will always have buyers.

Sounds like a very unique car and be nice to see it stay what it is.  Never seen the car advertised?  If you send pictures to psrde@aol.com I will post for you, maybe you can find a buyer and new car to work with on the board.  What are you asking for it?

Both fender tags?    It's one to keep original, IMO.

What shape is it in?  Are all the above option parts on the car still and usueable?  I'm really curious to see what shape it's in...

The big deal to me is the factory sunroof and wide hood chrome, moreso the sunroof.  You don't see those every day...

I found a couple of pictures that are not to large. Yes its a two tag car I will try and post the tags if I can. Its hard to see the sunroof in these pictures since the vinyl roof was taken off and just painted but will try and post pictures of it too if nothing else I can take some new ones. If I do build this car I will be keeping it. once its done it will never be for sale. And as for price I would have to sit down and figure out what I have into it. I have bought a lot of parts for it in the last couple of years. I would rather trade for another 71 Challenger.

Ok anyone know of a clean 71 Challenger body. I dont care what engine size or if even has an engine. Thanks
