The rarest option

For 70 and 71, what was the single rarest option? Dictaphone? Sunroof? Cruise? Luggage rack? Bench seat?

This was definitely a rare option . . . I think I heard 1% of cudas came with this option . . . . but not positive.  :dontknow:   I have seen 3 cars like this but not sure if they were original.

A strobe stripe would also have to get my vote.  As for a Challenger, that '71 Hemi Challenger with a sunroof is the rarest one.  This green 'Cuda has to be one of the rarest 'Cudas ever produced, also.

I'd have to go with Sunroof, also one of the coolest options, luggage racks are ok but the sunroof has to be the biggest usable option.

The rarest option I know of is N94 for 71. You could check off the fiberglass hood on the option sheet for any Challenger at the start of the 71 year but Ma Mopar did not ship any Challengers with the T/A hood. Mine has the option but my ralley hood has a part number stenciled on it that corresponds with the T/A hood part number. Galen says for my car to be correct it should have the T/A hood. I don't know why if it wasn't shipped this way.

Another very rare option would be the Mod Top!!  Very few MOPARS had the flower top option and definitely a rare thing if you have one.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. The sport Fury's we're huge, but totally *****in cars. I once read about one of the Carolina states had these 440HP 6 pks in their police interceptors. It was dealer installed 6 pks on the Sport Fury police cars. To think that the OEM were part of the "Rapid Transit System" with their size amazes me. Not to sidetrack, but the strobe stripe was  on the original HP mdls. It makes me wonder why it did'nt catch on with the Cuda or the Fury.Overall, I would say that the stripe is as equally rare on the Fury as well.Yet Plymouth had the ability to do both cars with less cost overall than the decals that replaced them.
