I think the N-96 Shaker Hood option on the 1970 340 Cuda Convertible may be the rarest. As far as i can tell, they built 1. And i own it ( and had it researched/documented), so i think this is the case. If anyone knows differently, please let me know. They built 22 total, of which 14 went on the hemi cuda convert. The other 8 were spread over the 340, 383, 440 and 440-6 (with most of the 8 going on the 440-6. The word from a few retirees from the legal and engineering staff ( as i have come to learn) was a problem with decapitation. Once the hood was reinforced as the shaker hood was, it would not buckle on impact. The hood pins held it down. The A pillars could lay down on impact. I am told it happened . That said, they redesigned the hood mid year to include "crumple zones" (aka 71 hood), and made only a couple cars at the end of the production year.
So what does the A18 package include? I have seen one 70 383 cuda with a bench seat and a mod top. How rare is the column shifter?
What is A18 the horn ring?!!
The Vinyl seat upgrade over Leather option on 71' Gran Coupe's.That was a rare one. I believe it was standard if on Beige interior 71 Gran Coupes? They never made Beige leather. Mine was outfitted that way originally.
What about the deputy package? That's pretty rare right?
P6 interior for a '71 Gran Coupe is top of the line when ordering an interior, i have seen a Premium Blue interior and a Premium Black interior.Mike, do you have pictures of your old seat upholstery you can share with us, i will tell you if it is P6 pattern as soon as i see it buddy. I am guessing you have two tone interior in your car ? that is if it is beige, it will be beige on the inserts and brown everywhere else, but if that is what i am explaining, it will not be P6 interior. Show me some pics and i will tell you straight away what they are.
