8.75 Posi (498 or 742) Price Est. Needed
« on: February 11, 2011 - 10:54:16 AM »
I am looking for a swap-in 8.75 chunk for my cuda with either a 3.91 or 4.10 ratio for around the town driving (have 3.55 in now).  I want to hold on to my original gear for swapping in and out for road trips.  Must be posi 489 or 742 case.  Does anyone know what price range these are going for these days?

489 cases with the cone style sure grip maybe $400? 742 cases with the sure grip/power lock style diff are more. I sold my last one for $600. YMMV. Sometimes you can score one at a swap meet for cheap. I sold a 489 case setup at a swap meet for $250 but that was 15 years ago

If your lookin for a good used setup your gonna pay around 5 to 6 hundred bucks for one. I've been wanting to do the same thing with my Cuda as well and i just can't seem to break myself payin that much just to swapt gears from time to time  :screwy:
