rotisserie questions
« on: February 12, 2011 - 07:22:42 PM »
I have a buddy that is going to let me use his rotisserie.  I need some pics of what I need to make to mount to the car.  Right now, I have a round cylinder to weld anything to.  So, what do the front and rear mounts look like?  Anyone have any measurements?

Seriously,  no one has any pics of their rotisserie mounts?

Just trying to get an idea of what is out there.

I don't really get good pictures of the set up on any of the companies that sale these.

I don't have my car on a rotisserie yet, but what I've seen here, is everyone mounting their cars by the bumper mounting holes on both ends.
Here's a pretty good shot by one of our members.

I can find only a couple of pictures of the rear mounted on a rotisserie.  It is very simple-- just make something that fits the bumper mount holes, front and rear and that's it.  On the rear, I recommend you do it pretty much like I did so that you can trial fit your rear valance panels while on the rotisserie.  If you are using replacement quarters or ends they will not fit and you need to be able to test your adjustments while on the rotator.  Remember that you need to be able to find the center of gravity both front and rear and allow for adjustments as the weight changes from adding or removing parts. There should be a number of pictures of mine on my web site.  I have since sold it, so I can't measure anything, but I think I had something like a 10" drop in the front.

Some one else was looking for rotisserie information a while back.  It is on one of the forums but I don't remember which one.  Maybe a search would turn it up.  Maybe some remembers which one. It was pretty well responded to with measurement and the whole bit.  PK
