Is his friend Ed helping too?

Ed's been over a few times to help.  He's got a very exacting eye too, so things have to be right.

I mentioned that we've had a few setbacks.  Maybe the dumbest one was when we were putting the drip rails back on.  I put one rubber weatherstrip on and then went to get the other--couldn't find it.  Turned the garage and house upside down--it never showed up.  Had to buy a new set.  :clueless:
Dropped off the trannie today for bearings and gaskets, and will start putting the interior back in this week.  I think I can find it all.
Thanks again to all for the encouraging comments.

I got the garage gremlins too sometimes , need to find the wormhole the little bastards are escaping through. They go to the missing sock dimension.

Well, the car is back together finally.  It took a few more months  than I had expected. It was actually finished two weeks ago, but when I was pulling it out of the garage after proclaiming to myself that the project was officially finished, the compressor all of a sudden was up against the driver's door being pulled along.  Somehow the air hose got caught in the door or wheel well and pulled the compressor into the car, denting and scratching the door.  I couldn't believe it.  I filled the dent and tried to paint it, but my spot was noticeable, so back to the painter it went (for a few more hundred bucks).  It's been back about a week and looks great.
Bob (aka 4SpeedFish) has been awesome throughout the whole ordeal.  He put a lot of hours into it along with locating parts and a great shop that redid the transmission.  I know that if and when he finds another Cuda to restore that I'll have a lot of hours I owe him.   I learned a bunch from the experience of re-restoring a car having never hung quarters before or applying a door skin.  It's nice to have the garage floor clean again and no Bondo dust footprints tracked into the house, so I'm ready for a little break.
As always, I appreciate all the encouragement, advice, and suggestions I've gotten here on C-C.com.  Here are a few pix:

:wow: But all in all, it is so awesome to see that the 'Cuda is back in all its glory old mate  :2thumbs:

wow!  the 'cuda looks fantastic!  i feel you pain about the door.  i did the exact same thing (without the compressor - i just got too close to the garage door frame when i was backing out), and i was miserable!  i missed the Don Garlits show because of it too.  but its fixed now.

so, now that its all done, how would you rate your experience with Hagarty?  if you are hppy with them, your car sure would make a great promo for them!  what a turn around! :clapping:

Looks awesome! It just made me feel sick seeing it after the accident
