** New Rocky Mountain Dash Cluster **
« on: February 14, 2011 - 03:04:28 AM »
For sale:

1 brand new, custom made, "Rocky Mountain Dashes" E-Body dash cluster piece. Perfect for your custom E-Body owners out there. Run modern gauges and have that custom look in your original E-Body dash pad. This is for the aluminium cluster piece only NO GAUGES. Takes 2 x 5" gauges and 6 x 2-1/16th gauges plus for factory wiper, light dimmer, etc switches and has provisions for 2 warning lights (one reverse) and enough room to squeeze a shift light in (as shown).

The gauges are only fitted to offer you a visual of what it will look like. I do have the 2 x 5" gauges for sale and 2-3 of the 2-1/16th" gauges, I'm sure a deal could be made if interested. This, like most E-Body MoPar parts wasn't cheap, $950 USD (invoice to prove it) + shipping. I believe RMD no longer do this stuff so grab this quick. Brand new, never fitted, $700 USD including 3-6 day track & trace shipping anywhere in the USA. I'm from New Zealand but am reputable and can only take PayPal. PM or email me me at carlwalski@xtra.co.nz

Cheers,
Carl

Maybe if it came with gauges it'd be a good deal. You can get brand new gauge panels from xv for around $450.

LOL.....then people can purchase the XV ones, not the same ones at all. People can make an offer, otherwise they can move on with their negativity. The gauges alone cost me $1,000+ from Jegs so with the gauges and the cluster at $700!?!?! Bwhahahaha, laughable at best, what a joke. I'd like to see where you go shopping mate, but I bet they must sell JS23R0 cars for $27,500 and restore cars in 3-1/2 weeks?? If it's too expensive, move on.

No need to get all pissy. I'm just saying the price for the gauge panel seems a bit high to me. Wasn't sure which gauges you had or what they cost. If they truly are that pricey then I understand the dilemma. I'm just trying to give some advice here, might be easier to sell at a lower price.

I know I was interested in it when I saw it was by rocky mountain dash, but it doesn't look like the one I've seen/wanted. It has too many gauge holes and too many switch holes.

LOL Fair enough but if it's not for you, don't buy it, move on. Pissy? Of course people will if you come on acting like the redbook price guide for MoPar parts when you're miles out. I purchased it for $950 USD, I don't set the prices or the MoPar tax %. People purchased these for that price back then (some still do) and I'm here selling the same thing (that's no longer made) in the same (as new condition) for $300 less (free/$50 shipping) and you come on here acting like I'm trying to rob people?

I've been a member of CCC for around 8 years now, a lot of friends and hours around here, I don't come on to make any money and try to be as fair as possible so both parties are happy, I'm not going to give it away nor make millions so I can run away to a remote Caribbean island to sip cocktails with my trophy wife lol!! It takes time and money for people to fabricate these things. For someone with a 1 off custom this would be ideal. Rocky Mountain make all kinds of gauges, again, this was a custom made piece for me. If it's not to someones taste or budget, I can't help that, they can continue looking for something that suits them, simple.

Not sure at this stage mate as I have a few local buyers interested since listing it, will keep you in mind though mate!

Re: the dash cluster. For anyone who isn't sure what these can cost (or doesn't believe what I paid), the Paypal invoice is below. Cost me $250 for 2-5 days shipping to New Zealand on top of the purchase price, obviously that's not a factor in my selling price. It wasn't cheap to make being custom but is a lovely piece, paint it satin black, slap some custom woodgrain over it or a bit of both to really nail it.

Hi Brad, thanks mate! You have to be a member, are you a member? If so, is it possible you could perhaps post a link to this thread?  :dunno: If not then I might look at joining but feel bad joining a forum just to help sell something, is all.

Dutch: - LOL, no worries mate, at least you got it sorted in the end.
Yup, I know many guys are always looking at custom gauge cluster options so I have no doubt it will sell fast.
