That 71 Cuda convertible is mine. I assure you none of my buddies are bidding on it. There have been over 4100 views and there are 220 watchers. It will most likely sell tonight and if it doesn't maybe I'll sell it to one of the 35 people that e-mailed me this week. If it still doesn't sell for some reason then I will keep it until I can get to it. By the way I'll take any 1971 Real Cuda convertible for $18k you can find.
Amen! Good luck with your sale. That will be an outstanding car to a guy with the ability to finish it! Black has a Cuba almost done he will be selling cheap. Excuse me if I knock you down and jump in front of you so that I can buy it for 18k.
Funny - I remember a guy in Pa a couple of years ago that was trying to sell a black 71 barracuda convertible for years and kept raising & lowering the price between $26000 & $18000 depending on which way the wind blew. Many of us tried to buy this car but the guy wouldn't send pictures or tell anyone where he lived it was very very strange. I think his name was Steve or something along those lines. I wonder ?
its a real 71 but needs everything and thats the prob, they are only sellin when done in the 50s at best, and to get that 71 done u will have to put another 40 to 50k into it and in the long run will only lose money!!
Please show me a correctly restored 71 Cuda Convertible that is for sale for near $50k. The one that was on ebay recently that sold for $52k that you mentioned above was a Non numbers matching 340 3 speed, non billboard car. It was restored back in the 90's with crappy very early reproduction sheetmetal. That car was a driver at best. It did not get any where close to what a $40-50K restoration would do for it 20 something years ago. A 71 Cuda Convertible correctly restored is worth at minimum $70-75k these days.
yeahh but then youll have to buy the car for 30k then stick another 40 to 50k into it so do the math ?? is it worth it??? not better to buy 1 done!!!ps the car on ebay he wanted alot more than that at 1st, it was on there a few times!!
I'm no expert but I'd say now is the time to buy project cars ( at the right price)if you have the means? It's a crap shoot whether or not the economy and the car values will go up. I'd like to think the economy will get better but it's been in the crapper for ten years now. The "great depression" didn't last this long?
Black, I agree a finished car is typically a better value then a project. You're a smart guy, why did you buy a project?
