The Malibu Cruise and Coastal Caravan Cruise are the only events that happen at the same time in different places. The Coastal Caravan is designed for travelers from the Bay Area and points north or travelers who route themselves though that area. The Malibu Cruise is set up for locals, people who arrive in town early Friday, people who attended the Willow Springs event on Thursday, etc.

Event grounds picture. Show car only trailer parking angled head-in against wall bottom-most from center to left.

$30 pre reg ($35 at gate) includes BOTH days. If you choose to only go one day, it's the same price.

Same as always. I've remember seeing your Bee out there before. When was the last Fling it was out at?

Nice pic. You have a good memory. You should see it now, I keep making little improvements. Only have about 6-7 things left on my list to make it "just right."

I try to go every show but I have only brought it out the last two shows since it was at a paint shop for years before that.

I have a friend who has a friend who let me get in for free each time.

This time, I wanted to be on the up and up since it is not alot of money and I know it's a way of raising money for other club events.

Thank you. Part of the proceeds go to the Guide Dogs of America. They have a booth near the club tent.

We don't charge much really for a two day event. And we have free admission. We could charge admission if we wanted to. But we are not out to gouge people. We will be giving each paid entry a free gift this year. In past special shows we've given out wall clocks, Hot Wheels, etc. Part of the fees go into the gift back to the people who take the effort to show thier cars.

At last Fall Fling with the wet rain before dawn, we actually lost money.

I heard the people who run the park don't really like us "car people" so I can imagine they make it more expensive each time hoping we go somewhere else.

Most shows charge people $35.00 for non-judged shows so you guys could easily charge more or add $10 for the second day. And I suppose it would more trouble than it's worth to set up a fence and charge admission. Although if you did, most folks would pay $5 without a single complaint since it is such a large show and nicely done.

In my opinion, there's not enough car enthusiasm in California compared to other parts of the country so I am glad you guys put this show on so regularly. I get excited months in advance of each one. Now that I have a Challenger to work on, I'm even more jazzed about the swap meet and vendors.

The park has it's streaks. Fairly decent of late. But right now with the money crisis they just have all kinds of fees for anything we do/use.

And most of those other shows are  $35 for ONE day. At Spring Fling, $30 gets you two days ($35 @ gate).

I try to push for nice trophies too. Sometime I get carried away with $5,000 trophy bills. But hey, nice car = nice trophy.

That's pretty much my core concept of having free admission.

I'm glad you clarified. So $35 Sat and another $35 Sun.

I only paid once thinking it was for both days. Guess I need to pay another 35.

I'm so jazzed for this!  I don't care if my car is a work in progress...

It will be fun to have my car in such a unique parking lot for the day (or two)!!

It's actually pretty fun to bring a works in progress. Take pictures of it at the show then when it's done, show them it was at the same show in that state. Also, if you are looking for parts or services put a sign in the window asking for them. People are much more likely to let go of some used parts or recommend some service to someone that is actually working on thier car. There are so many people that try to buy parts cheap and resell them.

I like the work in progress cars. Anyone who has fixed up their own cars can appreciate the work in progress stuff. I think it is neat to see the car progress over time as opposed to seeing it only finished.

Okay, I get it now on the admission price. I was just a little slow on the uptake. My e-mail is mikeandcasey@rocketmail.com  I saved my email response and was gonna bring it as my ticket.
