Anyone here in Seattle - Could look at a car for me?
« on: December 02, 2004 - 08:37:53 AM »
I am in Canada. East of Edmonton Alberta.
I am looking at buying a car that is in seattle.
For reasons beyond my control, the individual who owns it can not get me enough pictures of it to satisfy the deal.
Basiacally it is a you can see some of it but not all of it, and just trust me kind of deal.
It is to far to come and see etc.
I would be more than willing to pay someone with an experienced eye to look the car over, take pictures etc, to satisfy it is what it is.
Only need to reply from Dec 1 2004 to Dec 14 2004.
Thanks,
Dan

Hello Dan,

I have a friend living north from Seattle, he is driving race cars as his hobby (also building) so he might have some eye for this kinda thing.
could ask if he's interested and/or having spare time

Hi Dan,

I live south of Seattle about 20 miles. If it were relavtively easy for me to see the car I might be able to do it for you.
Where is the car and what are the issues. I just got a digital camera and need some practice using it. I know quite a bit about Chargers and a little bit about Challengers.

I hear you, and totally agree. I would never try and sell any one anything with out showing or telling them as much as I could to help them form their own opinion.
If this isn't the right car, there will be others.
Truly impressive to have the community to bounce things off of though!

keep this in mind there are no eyes like your eyes

i thought a car i looked at was a reasonable buy at 15000 and i guess i was wrong i still would have bought it for that but the new owner wasnt nearly as satisfied with its condition as i was

Buddrinker good point ! But I guess it depends on the person I for one would be happy just to have another opinon other than the person selling it. I guess you can never win sometimes hopfully you didn't lose too much sleep over it.

I would never buy a car without inspecting it in person. Too many horror stories. However a local person can tell you if it is even close to being worth your time (and money) to go see it. Pictures, no matter how detailed (can) still hide the true condition of the car.

just my $ 0.02
