Thanks guys I have alot of good ideas for this project, so stay tuned!  As for my car Ive thought of everything from twin turbo r5 or gen 3 hemi , or aluminum big block hemi, it will definitely be nice and it will definitely be what I can source at the time and you know it will be MOPAR.

As for my fathers duster as you can see in some of the pics, its a full tube chassis, other then the shell all fiberglass parts. full drysump dodge r3 stroked motor, all the goodies.  Hes hoping somewhere around low 2000lbs for weight and 750 to 850 horsepower.  It should be an amazing ride!  This is his third drag car, first one being a 68 dodge charger, and then another duster, and now this one.  This will also be my first time driving one, so its going to be alot of car for me to jump right into and Ill have to take it easy.

Thanks again for all the support and if you guys have any qeustions, feel free to ask them as I know I will be needing some of your help.  Im a one man crew!

It sounds like you have a solid plan for this car! :grinyes:  Should be an interesting build to follow & even cooler to see it all come together in the end!!!  BTW: I'm a big fan of the TT'd-engine route! :2thumbs:

I have been looking all over ebay for C6 parts and C5 rear and just stumbled on your thread. I am extremely (pun intended..) interested in your progress but your pictures are no longer visable. Do you have them posted somewhere else? I've been here for sometime and finally making real progress myself but have not started on the suspension yet. Since I have to replace everything anyway I have to look at all options.

Thanks in advance.

All of Gan'ts pictures still  showed up for me, Did you click on the link for his first post or just expect them to show up?
If you aren't logged in, you wont see the pics unless he linked them.

Hey guys hope all has been well!  Well my build just got really interesting and even more complicated lol!  How about plans for a twin turbo R5/p7 Dodge NASCAR engine??????????  I think so!  I wanted to do something that was exotic and a combination that was rare and I think Ive met that criteria so far.  I hope to build a stout combination that is reliable for the street and will make heads turn.  Hard part now is going to be mating the bellhousing/clutch/ to a strong enough transaxle/diff and researching the best combination of parts.

As you can see I was playing mock up in the living room haha!  But you get the idea.  I have a good head start on the major parts for the engine to be mocked up on the jig and in my chassis.  The block is a brand new unmachined piece with  billet mains, 6 bolt heads, etc.  The amount of R and D in these engines and heads is a work of art.  Its really amazing and I would like to thank Mr. Arrington in Concord, NC for the great hospitality and answering my questions.  Tell me what you guys think and as always any advice is welcomed!

I looked at one of those engines at one point too. What killed it for me was the dry sump. I didn't want to hack up the car to make it work. At one point you could buy one compleate, freshened  for 6K . I agree they are a pretty cool design!  :2thumbs:  Have fun!

Two 16' I beams serving as base for my jig, got to get them cleaned up and drilled with many holes for adjustability. Almost 6" flange 8"web and 1/4 thick.

Hey guys thought Id post up so progress.  I sourced a 2008 Tremec TR6060 rear transaxle from a vette.  Media blasted the case and cleaned it up.  I am planning on trying to rebuild it myself one of these days and upgrade it to stronger internals.

Lastly here are a couple of pics of my father's R3 stroker motor for his Tube chassis Duster.  He is getting very close to having everything competed and off to paint.  Enjoy!

Im just keeping the updates Rolling!

1 Gallon of Eastwood Epoxy Primer Black
1 Gallon of Eastwood Catalyst
5 Gallons of Evaporust for my I beams and plates!

Lastly I got a hold of some really trick pieces!
Dodge R5 CNC billet aluminum piston oil sprayers that have 3 jet sprayers able to adjust the amount of oil!  These are really neat, they have a CNC hole through the center of the piece and the bolts have hole passages for the oil to flow.
