out of curiosity. how many Plymouth Barracudas/Cudas were produced with a Sunroof?
I think this is only a 1974 option?

I don't know of any records on how many were built with a sunroof.  The sunroof was an option in other years than 1974.

I read in an old Mopar mag that in 1972 only 32 Cudas had the sunroof option.
Out there, some where, is a 1972 340 blue Cuda automatic with a black vinyl roof and no fender tag that is a sun-roofed Cuda.
The vinyl roof is hiding the sun roof.  The used car dealership covered it up cause they thought no Cudas came with a factory sun roof.
The fender tag, well, I have it some where in the house.  It was off the car while I was doing the rebuild.  Unintentionaly forgot to put it back on before the ex-wife got the car.

Thanks Barry. I couldn't remember the exact years.  Did 72-74 Challengers have them or was it 70-71 Challengers and 72-74 Barracudas?  I had a 73 Charger with a factory sunroof.  There is a rotted 72 Cuda sunroof car not too far from here.  In my area the sunroof cars rot quickly.  The hot sun cracks the vinyl top, letting water in.  The water gets past the sunroof seals and then leaks into the car.  I have opened doors of old sunroof cars and not been able to close the doors again. I just wish I had kept all the salvagable parts off of them.  'Back in the day' no one wanted the sunroof.  They would leak.  They added weight to the car.  I know of several sunroof cars that were parted just for those two reasons. Hindsight is 20/20.

I have heard that sunroof cars are coded with a "G" in the vehicle order number, but sometimes don't  have the M51 code on the fender tag.  Is that correct?

I was asked, last night, about a car in Oak Forest IL. that is very close to this description.  I was asked if the sunroof was factory.  I am waiting for pics.  If I get any, more than half the time I don't, I will post them.

RB2929.  I never got any pics.  Speaking of pics.   Can anyone get any pics of the sunroof assembly from the inside, outside, etc.  I have a sunroof car.  The roof was replaced with a hardtop roof.  I have since purchased a sunroof and have no idea of how it goes together.
