Thank you everyone for the positive comments that has kept me motivated. A sneak Peek of last weeks work. We used 3 coats of base coat Indigo Black and 6 coats of Spies Hecker clear which is a  2 step clear process and provides a finish with a lot of depth. This week color sand and buff. I only wanted the shell painted. The doors and fenders will be done at a later date for ease of assembly. More pictures to follow

Looks great....I'd always be fearful of a colour match issue when painting panels at a different time... :-X But that's just me...
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Thank you Alan, That would be True if it wasn't a solid color . But if the painter knows what he is doing , Its not a problem

After 4 days drying in the sun, the body was sanded with 600 and 3 more coats of clear shot this morning. I will get some pictures after color sand and buff next week. The pictures don't do it any justice of quality and the depth of the paint ..

Thanks you'all. I should have it on suspension in the next week or so. I have to do the car in my spare time , I'm thinking it will be a slow assembly process , I will have to see how it goes. Its hard to imagine I have had the engine 5 years without hearing it run..

John

The paint looks amazing and I know that black shows every imperfection so you have a ton of time in the bodywork.

Great job!
